This post is about a Turkish man, ZEKİ, I met in Rzeszow and he came to Rzeszow to trade. Zeki is used to telling some small lies and talk bunk. These are some the dialogs between him and me ;)
- Zeki how is going on your business, textile?
+well turgay, next week I shall go to another city in Poland and start a million dollar business there.
(I have learned from other Turkish man that he earns max. only 1000 thousand dollar for each transport in Poland and 1000 dollar is smaller than million dollar)
- Where do you stay here at hotel or what? And will you go by bus now to home?
+ No, I have been coming to Rzeszow for the last 20 years that’s why I have a house here. Yes, I shall go by bus today because my Nissan car is being repaired now.
(In reality he stays at Haruns- another Turkish man near Rzeszow - house, and also Nissan belongs to Harun)
- We give some entrance fee at clubs and last night they got more than before.
+ (smiling) do they take money from you? I don’t give any fee at clubs, because they know me now after 20 years in Poland and we have got good memories with them here.
(The following night I saw him giving entrance fee at Kino and asked – what is going on here, why are you giving entrance fee zeki? And he answered – today it is too crowded, everyone is giving this fee that’s why I am too. This fee is nothing for me, sometimes I order beers here 15 people-)

(After looking a girl constantly 5 minutes, at last the girl looked at him with curiosity but just because of curiosity and he turned to me after this “how is she looking at me?”

- Zeki, even in turkey if you want to do some small business, mafia would be a problem for everyone. How could you manage doing business without any problem even abroad? You know, because I think there is also mafia in Poland. (After putting down bait like this I lean against my back)
+ They can’t do anything to me; the president of Turkish Businessmen Association of Poland is my childhood friend and my old partner. The man who does the cargo business in Poland is my very closed and sincere friend. I just can tell these and you should understand everything by using these clues. (The only lie which I couldn’t prove. But the possibility of being lie of these remarks is %101)
- which companies’ products do you sell here from turkey?
+ telling names will be improper, but I can say that they are two biggest companies in Turkey (winking)
+ (after seeing my LEKE jeans t-shirt) I know the owner of LEKE jeans, he is a big psychopath, he always rubs his hands together, he is really mentally unbalanced. Once he wanted to buy some of my products, then we arranged a meeting and I went to his office. His secretary made us wait under the guise of that he had a meeting with chief of police of Istanbul. But I was sure about that is not true. Then I said I am goanna leave in 5 minutes unless he is goanna come. Before 5 minutes passed he came (winking). We negotiated but I didn’t sell my products to him.
-why, what was the reason?
+I didn’t like his behaviours (he sighed and became lost in thoughts in another world)
